Neighbors opened their home to us this afternoon, and Hyde Park showed up. Thank you. It was a warm, easy few hours of good company, all of it in support of the campaign for a Democratic Town Board.
Russell Urban-Mead and members of the slate spent the afternoon with supporters. Local campaigns are not built on television or billboards. They are built in living rooms and backyards, one conversation at a time, and this is what that looks like.
Together we raised over $11,000 for the Hyde Park Democratic Committee. One shared budget supports the entire slate, so every dollar raised today goes to work for all of our candidates rather than a single race.
Thank you to everyone who came, and to the hosts who made the day possible. If you missed this one, our pool-side brunch is coming up on Saturday, August 29. There is a long stretch of campaign between now and November 3, and afternoons like this one are what carry it.
